Humanizing education through technology

It almost seems like an oxymoron, but Salman Khan (no relation) shows how www.khanacademy.org can potentially revolutionize how material is taught within classrooms. He argues that rather than looking at teacher-to-student ratios, a more effective and telling metric for assessing classroom potential and productivity is teaching time-to-student ratio. Technology, he continues to argue, facilitates this.

Another Tea Party media gem

I am not big on a political smear or defamation campaign, but I am big on an education and information campaign, which is the reason and real motivation for this post. I think the above video speaks for itself. I would, however, like to highlight a few gems from the video (here we go):

1. The statesmen and stateswoman featured in the video are actually elected officials (amazing…more below on this)

2. The crowd of protesters have absolutely no regard for or remorse towards the children (some look very young) innocently passing through in the video (the insensitive, vile, and hateful remarks just keep coming)

3. EVERY single statement/chant/rally cry conjured up by the group of protesters is untrue and baseless (it does seem to be the case that ignorance and stupidity have left a complete vacuum or void where only hatred permeated…space needs to be filled with something)

Several people and outlets have beat me to it, but this can be merely another attempt to educate and inform…on how to contact the politicians and representatives featured in this video in order of appearance (here we go again):

From the little work I have done looking through his record, I am not sure whether or not he actually finished community college (@Miller: Did you finish?). His military record also shows a dishonorable early discharge (very patriotic).
